The end of the beginning
“So please tell me you’re at least a tiny bit excited now?!” I asked the girls, with a little exaggeration in my voice. They were sitting across the table from me, in the deserted food court of concourse A, terminal 8, at JFK airport in New York City. It was 11pm and our flight to Peru was scheduled to take off at five minutes to midnight.
