Kathmandu- rest for the weary

7 nights, no plans, beautiful views, friendly people, plenty of English spoken, and lots of food options in walking distance… what more could four weary world travellers want? An affordable upgrade to a roof-top room; this is our view! There is also a ‘regular’ part of the room, with a Queen bed, and another twin. So, lots of sleeping and resting space. Sometimes we can also get WiFi in our room! It’s only supposed to be accessible from the garden but our vantage point allows us access if we’re lucky. We’ve had a very long day. — Read the Rest…

We made it to India!

Hi everyone, just a quick note to let you know that we made it to India. A few people have e-mailed because they heard about the confrontation between protesters and the police in Taksim square in Istanbul yesterday. That was actually only about a kilometre from where we were staying, and we walked through Taksim square several times earlier in the week. Anyway, no problem for us leaving Istanbul, we were driving to the airport, in the other direction from the square, at the time of the confrontation.
