So, the afternoon is done.Julian reports that C&J did an amazing job at their long day of biking and ruin-climbing. I think he did very well, too, to keep up with those two speed demons
They definitely impressed the other tourists with their fearless climb up Ta Kao, one of the temples at the ancient city of Ankor.
My afternoon wasn’t anywhere as thrilling. I blogged. I watched tv while retrieving photos. I arranged for our taxi to the border tomorrow. I walked to the Adidas store but had no luck. There weren’t any rash shirts to be had, never mind the length, size and colour.
Since it was a nice sunny dsy, I decided to continue my walk. I ended up walking for over 2 hours, just strolling along ( if your definition of strolling includes quick turns, leaps and weaving through various pathways to get out of the way of motorbikes and tuktuks coming from seemingly all directions…) I’m not sure how many Kms I walked but I could feel it in my heavy legs and light water bottle by the end!
I was definitely appreciative of the air conditioning, cold bottled water and empty pool. I grabbed water and a change of clothes, and had a short swim to cool down. Then I settled into tv watching and game playing while waiting for new of the cyclists. It took a while to find out, but the 2 hour wait was worth it. They burst into the room to my applause and my requests for stories about how it all went.
Now the girls are in the pool while Julian works on postcards and I work on this post, complete with up-to-the-minute photos
