Chilling out in Mona Vale

The girls have decided to play shy for the camera again. So this is the best I can get for our live blogging from Sydney!! We three are catching up on internet stuff while Julian is out running a couple of errands with his aunt. She’s the one who has the gorgeous apartment in Mona Vale where we’re staying – and where we’ve been treated to a spectacular view each morning. It’s sunset now so it’s too dark to show you – maybe next time we’ll have a nice shot of the views from her place. Earlier today we slept — Read the Rest…
G’day mate!
Just a quick note (as not to be too anti social during our visit with relatives!) – to note that we’ve arrived live and well, and are thoroughly enjoying Sydney. More to come later – off to laundry, email, reporting credit card fraud (again – ugh), banking etc etc. Once we’ve gotten real life out of the way we’ll be back to update more.

It’s been a while since we posted so I thought I (Barbara) would provide a quick fix to that… A photo essay about how Jilly and I got ourselves this afternoon from the park to our cozy bunks. Excuse the less than stellar photography – I had to contend with moving scenery and a moving target for a human subject! But hopefully you’ll still get the gist of things….
Stunning Singapore

So, we are enjoying our first morning in Singapore by having a restful time at our home for the week we are in a standard 4 bunk room at Project Chinatown 2. It is definitely small but private and comparatively cheap…. A savings of about $70/day over the cheapest 4 person hotel rooms or apartments we could find! We. It comes with wifi, a tv lounge, a cafe and free breakfast too. A winner in our books! It’s 11am and while the rest of the family is just starting their day, I (Barbara) have been up and about since 8:30am. — Read the Rest…
