Balloons

My mom has posted something about balloons but this is the full story. At the Newark airport there were some balloons so me and Jill wanted them. We jumped and jumped but we could reach them. But this dude came and grabbed them for us! I love balloons so I took them on the shuttle ride (I lost the feeling in my arm from holding them). Nana and Grandpa did a lot: packing, running errands, playing host to two bouncing-off-the-walls 10 year olds. Auntie Sherri, Uncle Kevin and Seb hosted a Bon Voyage BBQ, which turned into an extended babysitting session as Julian and I worked with Dad’s timely help, — Read the Rest…

Important research: aka the hunt for Java
So, research is often the key to a smooth trip. You need to know what countries require visas (including ones require applications while you’re still in your home country), what vaccinations you should have, what neighbourhoods are safe, etc. But one of my key (if minor) preparations is — finding out where the Starbucks are. Let me be clear – I don’t travel so that I can have my North American favourites wherever I am. However, I have tagged this post as “frugal” because finding a Starbucks is one way to save money. Really! Read on…. I am sad to — Read the Rest…
