Birthday riddle
Barbara will spend her birthday in two places at once, but will not cross the international date line to do it. Where will she be?

Yes, that’s a reference to a certain daughter of mine and a certain childhood favourite of mine. You know, the show whose characters go on a three hour tour and the seas start getting rough and the Minnow would be lost?? After the hustle and bustle of most of our trip, what I really want when we get to Thailand is to go directly to a beach. One far away from cities and people and boardwalk hustlers. A roof over our heads…
We are only part way through planning our accommodations — we’ve got a gap in Brazil, but otherwise have everything lined up for our first two months. (The Brazil bit is caused by a lack of itinerary in that point. Hoping to have that solved soon!) Oh, and our last 4 nights are figured out, too. (Guest rooms at Grandma Susan’s condo building.) Setting up the blog!
It’s only about 6 weeks to go before we leave, so it’s high time to setup the blog. Since we’re not planning on travelling with a real computer, I have been trying to setup the blog entirely on Barbara’s ASUS Transformer tablet. And my general conclusion is that mobile devices are 100% deserving of the description “consumer” devices, because once you stop using them to consume information and start trying to create information, holy cow, they suck rocks!
